Potentate’s Notes Summer 2024
Nobles,
As most of you already know, the onions are here and thank you to those who have sold them. They also sent us an extra 1,000 bags by mistake, which is unfound money for Zenobia. That being said, there may be extra onions left to sell.
Zenobia is currently still looking for a treasurer, Hadji editor and a custodial person. If you are interested in any of these positions, or know someone who may be, please contact myself or the office.
Our June stated meeting will have a new start time of 7 p.m. instead of 7:30, as three hospital administrators will be there to talk to the nobility. Your ladies also are invited to this meeting. On Wednesday, June 19, Zenobia is being recognized at Shriners Children’s Erie and some of your Divan will be going. If you are interested in joining us, please reach out to myself and we can arrange for car pooling to the event. Friday, June 21, is an open house at Shriners Children’s Chicago, that is open to the nobility, and some of your Divan also will be attending this event.
Friday, July 26, is our annual Mud Hens game, that is open to all; tickets are available at Zenobiashriners.com. On the following day, we will be holding our ceremonial in Findlay. Please keep your eyes alert in your email from a Constant Contact with more details to come. That Sunday we also will be hosting our youth picnic for our DeMolay boys, Rainbow girls and their families. If you have a son or daughter interested in coming to this picnic to learn about these youth organizations, please come out and join us. There will be a $5 charge for food.
I would like to thank the nobility for passing the per capita increase, as it is for the betterment of Zenobia. Nobles, please do not forget about the Clowns golf outing on Saturday, June 15, in Fostoria. If interested, please contact Steve Horton. We also will have our Zenobia golf outing on Saturday, August 3, with all proceeds going to the hospitals. You are now able to register your team/individual and/or become a sponsor by going to Zenobiashriners.com.
One last thing, if you would like to participate at the National Tractor Pull and help out, please contact me or Ty Stout, PP. Please try to sell Sportsmen’s Raffle tickets over the summer to your friends and family. The more tickets we sell, the more profit we make for our temple.
