Potentate’s Notes April 2025

Greetings Nobles,

In February, Lady Renee and I had the pleasure of attending the Snowbird Luncheon in Sarasota, Florida. It was a quick trip. It was nice to see some of the Nobles who fly south for the winter. There were about 40 people there. We had a great time with good food and fellowship.

This month has started off with a bang! We had our Spring Ceremonial on March 8 and gained nine new members. We had 14 go through the Ceremonial, but several were brought in last year during a “cold sands.” They were all quite amazed and im­pressed. We had a Friendship Night the night before and gained three petitions to join us on Saturday. I feel that was a win for all of us. Both nights went well and were quite successful. Jim Taylor did a great presentation for the Friendship Night. Thank you, Jim!

As I stated last month, this is quite a busy month. Now we are off to the circus, March 13-16. It will be here and gone by the time this prints, so I wish success to everyone involved. Hope­fully, everyone got their tickets and had a great time. I will be there “clowning around,” at least for some of the shows. The next weekend we will be attending the Walleye hockey game. I wish more of you could have joined us. It is always a good time.

Our onion fund-raiser is underway. Please get out there and sell those Sweet Vidalia Onions. It is a good way to earn some money for your club or unit. You just need to let the office know where you want your proceeds to go.

In May, we have two events coming up: Dueling Pianos with “T” and Rich which will be held here at Zenobia and the Mud Hens game. Tickets should be available for sale online. Space is limited, so get your tickets early.

The ladies will be having another ladies night during the stated meeting in June and September, so bring them out with you to have some fun.

Again, I am very excited about our Ceremonial and would like to welcome our new Nobles. Please make them feel welcome at our Shrine.
