Potentate’s Note September 2026

Greetings Nobles,

I hope everyone had a great couple of months to enjoy the
weather and family and fun. Now it’s time to get back to labor.
Our stated meeting for September will be on the 3rd, due to
GLSA on September 9 to 12, in Dayton. We will be having
dinner that night as well. Please bring a Noble, who has not
been out in a while, to enjoy the fellowship and friendship of
his fellow Nobles.

Many of you know that Ill. Sir Charles R. Murphy was hired
to be our new business manager at Zenobia. He also will as
sume the position as Recorder for us as well. He brings his
dedication and enthusiasm to Zenobia. Ill. Sir Murphy is learn
ing on the fly and is making great progress. I also would like
to thank Noble John Mann for all the hard work he has put in
over the last several years, and wish him well in his retirement.

In July, the Divan and several Past Potentates and their
Ladies traveled to Tampa for Imperial Session. Some of the
outcome was not what we wanted, but we have to go with what
was voted on. We had a great time with each other and had fun
with other Nobles and their families as well. When we got back
home the Divan had a youth picnic with the Rainbow Girls.
We had a good turnout and food.

August brings us to the tractor pulls. Thank You! To Ill. Sir
Tom Binder for organizing everything at the pulls. Also, a big
shout out to all who came out and helped. Which brings us to
the Sportsmen’s Extravaganza – we need everyone’s help in
selling tickets. If you have not bought or signed any tickets
out, PLEASE DO SO and help us make this a successful event.
