Potentate’s Notes October 2026

Greetings Nobles,

As we travel through September and enter October, let us look back on the last month. Let’s start with the tractor pulls that happened in August. Thank you to all the Nobles and non-Shriner who came out to work. Many put in 24-hour days to make this our biggest fundraiser of the year. Thank you to Ill. Sir Tom Binder and Ill. Sir Todd Miller for all the hard work you put in. We had stated meeting a week early because of GLSA. Thank you to the Divan and Past Potentates who went down to Dayton for GLSA, also to Patrol who went down and took part in the GLSA Parade. The Potentate Ball also took place at the Hancock Hotel. It was a great night as we had Nobles, Past Potentates and visiting Potentates. Thank you to my Shrine Mom for putting everything together.

The first weekend in October had held the Sportsmen’s Extravaganza. Thank you everyone who helped put it together and worked the event. Other upcoming events in October are Grand Lodge, Adult Halloween and the Kids Trunk or Treat. Grand Lodge is Thursday and Friday, October 15 and 16; please support Grand Lodge and our very own Noble RWB Jeffrey Sime. On Saturday, October 24, is the Adult Halloween Party; for tickets you can go online to Zenobia’s website or call our 1st Ceremonial Master Jessee Spillman at 419-633-2959. I am asking all our clubs and units to please come out and participate in our Kids Trunk or Treat. Please contact Ill. Sir Dennis Gable, so we can set it up properly. Also please bring out your kids, grandkids and invite everyone with kids. Let’s see how big we can make it.

Start getting in petitions for our next Ceremonial in November.
